HIGH PONY, HIGH BOOTS

Cheers to my last blog post of 2015! This has been one crazy year, full of lots of up and downs (mostly downs) but I'm excited to see what 2016 has in store! I'm not one to make any new year resolutions honestly. I don't think it should take a new year for anyone to make changes to their life, but hey if you're about that then do you!

This is one of my favorite go-to outfits. Pair a black body-con dress with any type of oversized/ slouchy sweater and add some heels + jewelry and you're good to go! And to all my short ladies out their like myself, go get yourself some thigh-high boots! I promise you will not regret it. These boots give the illusion of you having longer legs, which is always a boost for my 5'2 self!

Continuing on from the last post, I am wearing more Stella & Dot pieces. To shop with my stylist, Savannah click here! Here's what I'm wearing:

Plume Necklace--This necklace is so cool; The feathers are removable and also come in 2 different colors to change out
Aurora Stud Pack--These are all great go-to studs for an everyday look or a night out!

Hope everyone has a safe, but fun new year!

xoxo Lindsey

PETAL TO THE METAL

Merry Christmas Eve Eve everyone! Today I spent my day in Deep Ellum, which I think is probably one of the coolest places Dallas has to offer. If you haven't tried Pecan Lodge BBQ yet, you need to try it! We waited in line for about 45 minutes, but it's so worth it! (still currently in a food coma)

Now on to the exciting stuff…

For these next few blog posts I've done somewhat of a collaboration with my friend Savannah Meyers, who is a stylist at Stella & Dot. All their jewelry is to die for and I highly suggest you checking them out! To shop with them and have Savannah as your stylist click here!

Here's what I'm wearing from Stella & Dot:

HOLIDAY STRIPES

Who's ready for Christmas?!

I think it's safe to say the holidays definitely snuck up on me this year. But hey, finals are over so I can finally relax. After taking 19 hours this semester, it's a breath of fresh air to not have to crack open another book (or quizlet) until next year. Get ready to hear from me a lot more this month because I've got some exciting things in store!

THINK PINK

    THINK PINK THINK ZETA

So since it's October, this post goes out to breast cancer awareness month. Having a grandmother who survived her battle against breast cancer, I salute all you women who have dealt or are currently dealing with this battle. 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. I hope to one day live in a time where there is a cure for this cancer and every other type.

One reason I'm so happy I chose the sorority I did is because of our philanthropy. Being a ZTA, we strive to make a difference and raise as much as we can for breast cancer awareness and education. We fight so that one day cancer will be cured and we will have to find a different philanthropy. Ladies, I hope you all take the time to educate yourselves. To learn about what our Baylor Zeta chapter is doing click here and to donate click here. Hope everyone thinks pink! (I mean, Shawn Oakman said so, so you basically have to)

COOLHUNTING

Hello lovelies! With school starting, I've been slacking a bit on the posts, but I'm back. So I took a weekend trip to Austin, where I did a project for my fashion forecasting class. The project is called "coolhunting" where we search for people who are rocking some really cool/unique outfits and then we take pictures of them to find a hidden trend among them. It was a bit awkward at first asking random strangers if I could take their picture, but as the day went on, I started seeing some really cool things!

I think we can all agree that this heat needs to leave. I'm praying for a cool front…but while I'm still trying to beat the heat, I'm all about comfort lately. If you don't own a pair of New Balances, I HIGHLY recommend them. Not only are they super comfortable, but with all the color choices they offer, these shoes allow you to dress an outfit up or down. Hope everyone is having an awesome week. Peace & blessings, and Sic 'em bears.

BACK TO SCHOOL IN BLUE

Three years ago I began my journey here at Baylor University, and today marks the first of my final days here at BU. People always say how fast your college days will fly by, but you really don't understand until you experience it on your own. Not everyone gets to say that went to a college that was filled with such caring professors who will take the time out of their day to pray for you, but I do. Some of the best memories of my life have been made here at Baylor and for that I am so thankful. So cheers to starting my final year here at Baylor, and I hope it is filled with nothing but great memories. Time to get this degree and make mama and daddy Pounds proud. Hope everyone has a fabulous school year!

BREEZY BLUES

Sometimes all you need is to travel downtown with your best friend for some good 'ol girl time (featuring margaritas of course!) This summer I'm all about sun dresses, because they are breezy! This dress I'm wearing is SO comfortable, and would be perfect for the upcoming 4th of July weekend!  Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend and I can't wait to see all the festive pics!

FLORAL FLING

It's Wednesday, and I've got a thing for florals this week. Maybe it has to do with the sunny weather we've been having lately, but I'm all about the pastel/floral combo currently. And guess what ya'll…your girl finally got herself a pair of Ray-Bans! It's been a long time coming, but I finally joined what seems like the rest of the world with these new babies.
They always say "less is more" and with this outfit I believe that stands true. Notice, I'm wearing no jewelry and rocking no accessories (minus the new baby Rays) and it's completely fine to do so! But anyways, hope everyone is enjoying their summer thus far!
                                                                                               xoxo Lindsey
